ABOUT US
This website has been created by a couple of local music enthusiast, to provide the public with a friendly and informative update on events at the Battle of the Bands 2004 competition. The website will keep the public up to date with the competition results, band profiles and all of the latest news from the event, which gets underway on the 1st March for approximately 28 weeks.
There is also a message board posted here to allow for discussion and debate on the performances of the bands and the results of the heats and finals. There will also be competitions and special features added to the site throughout the event.
This site is an unofficial site and in no way does it portray the comments from any Battle of the Bands organisers.

I first started building an interest into developing websites last year, when my friends asked me to produce a website for their own band ‘Halfcream'. This initially formed grounding on the methods needed to be undergone in order to create and submit a website to the internet; this knowledge gave me a keen desire to implement more. |

The second website was Lynn Grove High School, and was created in the summer of 2003. It was formed as part of a project at Norwich City College , which is where I'm studying my final year of my BSc honours degree.
My final website was developed late last year, for the Local popular 60's band, The Yarebeats.
All the sites up to now have been initially constructed using Microsoft Frontpage and the use of simple HTML coding, but since I gained an adequate level of experience in web design, I've found that I'm ready to tackle the more advanced end. So I learned Dreamweaver and other internet programming languages in the bid to deliver a more distinct and dynamic edge to my websites.
As a keen music enthusiast, and an acquired interest in the Internet, I purchased the domain www.battleofthebands.co.uk to document this year's local music competition.
I'd like to lastly make a final addition to my profile concerning this project. I have no financial gain and connection to the competition organisers thus why it's an un-official website and not been officiated, I just purely host this website for the interest of the site visitors and ourselves, and sincerely hope you enjoy what the site has too offer over the next 23 weeks!
On a last note. If you love the website, and think i'm doing a great job, then it will nice to show your appreciation by kindly donating a alcoholic drink and anything else that is of particular value! their views on this years Battle of the Bands. I'm generally described as being a top bloke, who's always up for a good laugh and a top night out.
I have a wide range of taste in music which should stand me in good stead to review any performance that is thrown at me. My favourite local bands are Half Cream, Rawkus, Rock Doctors, Egypt, Lynchburg Tenn, Real, The Divide and Worlds Apart. My favourite signed bands are Muse, The Darkness, Radiohead, The Coral, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Coldplay, AC/DC, Led Zeppelin and many more. I'm an approachable type of guy who has a real passion for living life to the full. I hope you all enjoy Battle of the Bands and our website! |
