We have been a band since September 2001 when the mighty ‘Dark Lord' first picked up his axe and said “I will form a band”. The story begins when he proceeded to ask his noble companions Croz, Griff and Lambert to join him in forming this so-called band the ‘Narcoleptic'. A few months then passed when Griff and Croz decided it was all very well being in a band but what about instruments? So, that fateful summer of 2002, Griff and Croz set out on a noble quest to ‘THE ACADEMY OF SOUND' to purchase musical instruments and amplifiers from the evil Saturday overseer, ROSS! We got some equipment and started practising in Ranworth studios: that's right, a shack with electricity is classed as a studio (well, Carl classes it as one anyway).
Thus, we practised there for absolutely ages until we could play that fateful ‘Greenday' cover! Afterwards, we all looked at each other and realised…we didn't have a singer! I know, we were shocked too! Therefore we went on an epic quest and found ourselves the mighty Deano! That's right: the Frank Sinatra of the punk world. When Deano joined we decided a name change was in order, so subsequently we became known as the mighty ‘Centrefold'. After playing two small, low-key gigs with him we decided that he wasn't part of the bands future, so at that time we got Croz's girlfriend, the EVIL Lucy, to throw him out. Unfortunately, the band had an eight-week split only to reform without a name, but with plans; yes, big plans! So, we moved practise sessions to a place called ‘Earth Studios' which was probably the most chilled out place in the world. Moreover, we decided to play gigs that weren't in Ranworth, so in the beginning of January we played on the same bill as ‘Pariffinalien' at ‘O'Grady's'. We have currently entered ‘Battle of the Bands' and insist on either winning or getting nowhere and crying a great deal, so hope you enjoy the show!
